TURFTSL was formed in 2010 by Layne Young (Director) who saw a need for quality, detail & reliability within the domestic and commercial lawn sector.
Layne’s experience in the turf industry is second to none having more than 30 years experience in golf course construction and maintenance on leading golf courses throughout New Zealand. He also has experience in sports field construction and
maintenance working for one of Auckland’s leading contracting companies in this field.
TSL have qualified turf management staff to meet all construction, maintenance and renovation requirements.
Staff Turf Qualifications include:
- Trade Certificate in Turf Management;
- Turf Culture Diploma;
- “Growsafe Certificate” (qualified spray applicator); and
- “Approved Handler” of Turf Chemicals.
Layne has attended numerous Turf Grass Conferences in New Zealand, Australia and the U.S. so is up to date with the latest techniques and methods of construction and maintenance of turf. He has also published articles on turf maintenance and construction in turf publications.
